COMMUNITY INTEREST PRESS RELEASE

PRESS RELEASE

Keenan Auto Body wraps up 7th Annual H.S. Prom D.U.I. Awareness campaign at Cardinal O’Hara and Interboro.

Clifton Heights, Pa. May 19, 2010 – Keenan Director of Marketing, Craig J. Camacho, announced the completion of their 7th annual Prom/DUI Awareness Campaign.

Keenan has once again teamed up with local high schools to deliver a very sobering message, don’t drink and Drive!   Through a network of industry partners, Keenan donates a crashed vehicle to each high school, which includes a banner that briefly tells the story behind the vehicle and its driver’s demise.  “We don’t candy coat the issue”, stated Camacho, “We want the kids to see the reality of what can happen when they drink and drive, and to do this, we leave the vehicles in the same condition as they were immediately after the accident, this sometimes includes ripped clothing and blood ”.

The vehicles were on display at both Cardinal O’Hara and Interboro High Schools for their junior and O’Hara’s senior proms.  People driving by were able to see first hand the results of such destructive decisions made by people the same age as who go to the high schools the vehicles were placed at.  The statistics don’t lie.  Thousands of teenagers die every year due to driving under the influence or by driving with someone who was.  “If we can save just one life, it was worth it”, stated Craig Camacho, who has three children, two of which are currently driving and a teenager who will be behind the wheel in a year in a half.   “You teach your children to make the right decisions and life has a way of working in your favor but you have no control over the bad decisions others may make, and as a parent that’s very scary.”

Keenan Auto body, Inc. owns and operates nine collision repair centers throughout Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery counties, and Middletown Delaware.
